HISTORY Bottega, “the studio or workshop of a major artist in which other artists may participate in the execution of the projects or commissions of the major artist”. It embodies the true essence of architecture as a collaborative and multi-disciplinary field of art and science in building creative, functional, and environmentally sensitive spaces. Bottega 8290 was established to bring to life the notion that the built environment need to be more socially, environmentally and economically sensible. The direction of sustainability is further emphasized by the office’s move to handle and apply for research grants as well as teaching its know-how to other professionals in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. VISION Pioneers the institutionalization of the building performance and simulation in the practice of sustainable built environments in the Philippines MISSION INTEGRATION Produce designs of built environment that synthesizes efficient building performance concepts to ensure stewardship of the profession to the natural environment. EDUCATION Foster stakeholders’ understanding of efficient building systems, technologies, and materials for informed, responsive, and meaningful decisions. COLLABORATION Actively involve related professionals in the creation of a multi-faceted understanding of the building for a more sustainable built environment.
