In 2022, we launched a new CRV container return system with multiple drop-off sites and flexible times to make recycling easy and accessible in San Francisco. Our goal was to help people reclaim their deposits and support a sustainable future.
Since then, BOTTLEBANK has returned over $317,000 in CRV funds to San Francisco residents, processing over 95,000 bags with 5.6 million containers.
Now, with our partnership with Innovabin, California enjoys a customized bag drop system. In 2024, we're introducing crushed container drop-offs, smart containers, and expanding BOTTLEBANK locations across the state, making recycling even more convenient.
