The Bottomless Toy Chest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to delivering art projects, crafts and interactive toys to hospitalized pediatric cancer patients. At a time when almost everything is out of a child’s control, projects can give a young patient something to be in charge of. They can provide a very simple, therapeutic way to redirect a young person’s attention away from the stressful, painful and impossible and onto the positive, and can do wonders to help them feel empowered and strong in their all-consuming battle against cancer.
