The idea for BSG was created by a group of Sports Management majors who are passionate about pursuing a career in sports. BSG is designed to introduce students with interest in the industry to one another, prominent figures, athletes, and potential employers. By fostering a communal and collaborative environment, we strive to create a space where like-minded students can come together, learn from professionals in the field, interact with student-athletes, and share their unique perspectives and experience in the sports world. Furthermore, our organization aims to allow students to get a glimpse of different career paths within the sports industry.
Our organization hosts bi-weekly meetings and occasional off-campus visits. In BSG, we want to emphasize a discussion-based setting where members will be able to freely converse on hot-button topics and some of the sport's world's most pressing issues. This positive environment will be enhanced with the addition of prevalent guest speakers enabling our students to gain vital knowledge and insight from their experiences and expertise in the sports industry. BSG members will have the opportunity to participate in exercises such as Stadium event planning, corporate partnership pitches, GM simulation, signing a client simulation, and much more.
