Bourcet Engineering has been providing structural engineering services in the Okanagan Valley since 1984, and has recently expanded to include a representative in Revelstoke, BC. Rene Bourcet, the company founder, has been in business as a professional engineer for 26 years. In that time, he has practiced predominantly in British Columbia and Alberta but has also gained international experience with his work through Amusement Leisure Worldwide designing waterslide structures and pools.
Currently, Bourcet Engineering has grown to include two Professional Engineers and one Engineer-in-Training nearing completion of her 4-year apprenticeship. The drafting department includes two full-time applied science technologists. The combined experience of the staff at Bourcet Engineering is diverse, allowing for the accommodation of a number of projects ranging in scope and complexity. Over the past 26 years, Bourcet Engineering has designed residential, commercial, institutional, recreational, and industrial buildings throughout BC’s interior.
In addition, the company has worked with many large corporate organizations including: BC Hydro, CANFOR, COE Newnes McGehee, Okanagan Springs Brewery, Rogers Foods, Tolko Industries, and Weyerhaeuser Canada.
