Bowhead Transport, LLC, is an SBA 8(a) subsidiary of UIC Commercial Services, a division of Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation, the Alaska Native Village Corporation for Utqiaġvik, Alaska. Bowhead is a full-service partner offering comprehensive project support services, including logistics planning in challenging environments. From freight, equipment, and cargo transport to remote project mobilization and live-aboard amenities, the Bowhead Transport team and fleet of vessels can facilitate projects of every scope and size. Our fleet operates in remote island and coastal environments with little or no vessel-supporting infrastructure, giving us the experience and capabilities to mobilize and demobilize projects Pacific-wide. Bowhead Transport’s diversified fleet of tugs/barges, landing craft, river push boats/barges, and two high-speed support service vessels are built for efficient cargo and personnel transport in any region of Alaska. The Bowhead fleet is designed to transport heavy loads in extremely shallow waters and perform technically challenging beach landings at sea or in rivers. Our specialized combination of vessels makes Bowhead Transport’s capabilities in the Alaska region extremely unique.
