Dallas started his career in civil engineering working for the FL Department of Transportation (FDOT). After 10 years with FDOT in various roles, Dallas saw an opportunity to create an independent civil engineering firm that would provide a greater opportunity for collaboration between clients and consultants. Megan helped Dallas to grow Boyd Engineering in its early stages, holding several executive positions, and is currently Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Together Dallas & Megan hoped to create a great place to work while providing services and adding value to the Alabama Wiregrass community. Boyd Engineering started by providing small design projects and percolation tests (PERCs). Working with contractors and home builders in the area, they realized the need for a company that could design and build. Boyd Engineering bought its very first excavator and hired its first employee in 2020 to begin building the dream of being the Southeast's best design/build construction company. Boyd Engineering has since grown into a leading provider of comprehensive civil engineering, construction, and excavating services in Alabama. The firm’s headquarters are centrally located in Enterprise, Alabama within proximity to Montgomery, Dothan, Mobile, and cities in the Florida Panhandle.
