Character and features are proudly displayed throughout this Victorian building, from our distinctive corner towers, amazing stained glass windows and original ornate ceiling cornicing. LOCATION We have beautiful gardens around the building, for that evening stroll we are located adjacent to the beautiful Braidburn Valley Park which boasts 11 hectares of mature parkland and views of the Pentland Hills. Free parking, panoramic views of Edinburgh and you may be pleasantly surprised to know that we are just minutes from the bustling city centre. 8 minutes by car, 20 minutes by regular public transport right outside the Hotel. CONFERENCES AND EVENTS If you are looking to dine, celebrate or entertain with us we also have a restaurant, bars and private dining rooms available. Our facilities are varied and range from intimate private dining spaces and can cater for events from 2 to 200 with full catering. 1886 RESTAURANT 1886 Restaurant is a spacious, conservatory style dining room with dark wood tables and comfortable leather chairs. The Restaurant is flooded with natural daylight and enjoys panoramic views across Braidburn Valley Park, Edinburgh City and the Firth of Forth beyond. Seasonality is the driving force within our restaurant menu we’re passionate about creating the ultimate dining experience whatever your taste. Always focusing on fresh, seasonal produce cooked with simplicity and focused on flavour. We are proud to support Scottish farms and food producers. Our meat, fish, poultry and dairy items are sourced locally where possible.
