COVID-19 gave cause for pause: As we began working from home and wondered what to do with time that had been spent commuting, some of us worried about spending too much time isolated. To address these concerns, many of us turned to Tandem.net to learn Portuguese and English. One by one, we established meaningful connections, but something was missing: group interaction. In May or June 2020, we launched a Saturday morning virtual meeting that evolved into the Brasil-Boston Interchange. Tornando nosso mundo um lugar melhor, um intercâmbio de cada vez. Making our world a better place, one interchange at a time. It's a free and fun online weekly Zoom group with an active WhatsApp group.
