Fathers need each other, is time to let go of the idea that our past wounds determine the way we connect with our children.
Research is proving the importance of a father figure in a child’s life, studies prove the impact on mental and emotional wellbeing, the benefits enhanced in learning skills and social rules, the importance that is played in developing a strong connection with self and embrace positive, healthy relationships.
But what happens when the father himself, did not receive a fulfilling and healthy experience of fatherhood when was a child?
Many have the best intention but simply did not experience what a good father is. This is what we do at THE FATHERHOOD we combine the Intention with strategies and action to get the results!
That was me, I always loved my child dearly but there were so many wounds and inner conflicts that were unresolved as a result of my own relationship with my experience of fatherhood during childhood.
As children we try to make sense of the world the way we can and that is why is important for parents, for men, to get together and give ourselves permission to drop the mask and heal the story that his driving our behaviour and the way we show up in our family, in our relationships, to ourselves.

My Mum lost her mother at birth and her dad did not want to know about her, my Dad always struggled to find security within himself as a consequence for an ugly loss experienced in the family during his early childhood.
For a very long time during my teenage years, I sought to connect and bond with my father, looking for his approval, his love, his encouragement but, unfortunately, all I found back then was resistance and disappointment.
