The Behavioral Response Evaluation System, “BRE,” is a turnkey mental health staffing service and program. The program utilizes software through dedicated staffing to become a plug and play mental health department for existing pain management and other healthcare specialists who cater to chronically ill seniors. Why does BRE exist? First and foremost, this is a program that helps chronically ill seniors live the best life they can. It provides doctors with an opportunity to limit their liability by documenting a chronology of evolving patient conditions with regards to pain, depression, anxiety and mental health to show a plan of care that matches the patient needs. Annual screens are simply not enough to identify the changing conditions of seniors. This also minimizes costs to Medicare and society by treating the root of the problems before they turn into costly long term hospital stays. The BRE software has been in development for 3 ½ years and has a patent-pending for its unique graphical user interface that allows the doctor to scan for changing patient conditions in only 5 minutes per day. Our Medical Director has worked directly with members of Congress and the director of CMS to craft new CPT reimbursement codes in 2019 and 2020 that provides a substantial but fair reimbursement for tracking and providing these evaluations on a monthly basis. The compliance aspects and certifications of this program make it prohibitively inefficient for a physician to attempt to staff themselves. We have no competitor currently in this space, making for a very blue ocean in this niche. Our turnkey program provides certified staff and the electronic health records with guaranteed error-free billing for the doctor, who supervises our leased staff for the services provided. All this without taking up any staff time, patient rooms, or resources from the practice.
