LAUNCHING SOON: the Break Something blog and newsletter 💌 My name is Nora, and I'm a failed creator. Ever failing, actually. I also used to lead a Creator Success team at Patreon, be a professional musician, and have spent most of my career helping brilliant people make money from their bonkers ideas. Now this is my playground. I write about all things creativity, getting shit done, and the rabbit hole that is the creator economy. I’m endlessly curious, and want to share some of the insights I’ve learned from people smarter than me. If you want to get unstuck, find joy in making stuff again, or figure out how to make (or not make) money from it — you’re in the right place. And if you’re curious of why doing nothing is sometimes the most productive move, we’ll get into that too. So who am I to tell you? I'm a Norwegian living in Berlin, who’s worked across music, technology, and the creator economy. I’ve been a freelancer, performer, marketer, manager, teacher—you name it. I’ve supported, led, inspired, hired, burned out - and procrastinated with the best of them. I’m a work in progress, progressively working, but I’m not chasing my “best self”, I don’t buy into that idea anymore. What I do believe is that creativity is for everyone, and very trainable. And for the record: Break Something takes its name from one of three core creative techniques described in "The Runaway Species" by Eagleman and Brandt; Bending, blending and breaking, where the latter has always scared me the most.
