BG was founded by the former operations team behind award winning London bar & pub group Barworks. Mike Harrington and Lee Godwin oversaw the expansion of the group from 6 sites in 2015, to a peak of 19 sites in 2021. Throughout that time, they drove the company’s growth, ethos, efficiency, systems, strategy, products and offering. They ran all aspects of day to day operations with a workforce in excess of 500 staff, alongside managing the successful opening of 15 new venues in 7 years.
