Breathe.me developed world's first ultra-low-cost Asthma & COPD monitoring & management solution, using an acoustic sensor and a mobile app for lung function testing. Our technology is patent protected.
The sensor is tiny, entirely-mechanical device, that communicates wirelessly with any smartphone. The Acoustic sensor transforms airflow to a varying pitch whistle sound. The sound is recorded by the smartphone and using a proprietary algorithm, the spirometric values (such as peak flow and FEV1) are calculated. The app utilized a disease diary which records measurement results, symptoms, triggers and medication usage.
