OUR FIRM
Founded originally by Paul Breen in 1997 as a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire & Life Safety Engineering consultancy, BREEN launched its Civil Department in 2004. In 2005, BREEN moved to its current location, a spacious design suite in Torrance, CA. In 2007, a Structural Department was added.
Today, BREEN DESIGN GROUP is a well-established local and national engineering resource, providing high quality Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering design. In 2017, BREEN brought on board a licensed Architect and created our now Architectural department to address our clients demands for a more comprehensive service.
BREEN Engineers and Architects are licensed in California and several other states. Many carry LEED AP accreditation. BREEN has consulted on multi-million dollar engineering projects throughout Southern California and across the United States. Several of our staff have substantial international project credentials.
BREEN Design Group is a certified SBE through the State of California DGS and many other agencies, including LAUSD, LACCD, the City of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach. BREEN is also a recognized Federal small business.
BREEN serves a wide spectrum of clients: top architects, developers, contractors and various other agencies and organizations, public and private. Our accomplished work sectors include Federal, multi-family Housing, mixed use, healthcare, retail, educational and commercial projects.
While each department at BREEN manages independent projects, one of our differentiating strengths is the ability to provide several engineering disciplines cohesively. Diverse tasks are coordinated in-house, resulting in high-quality construction documents and simplified projects for clients of all types and sizes.
