Breethe, Inc. is a medical device startup that is developing a compact artificial lung (ECMO) that will transform clinical practice and improve outcomes of those who suffer from acute and chronic lung problems. Lung failure is a progressive and debilitating disease that contributes to the death of over 235,000 people in the United States alone each year. The options available for physicians treating end-stage lung failure are limited, and do not provide the lung support required for healing and effective rehabilitation. Breethe is developing a new treatment option that will improve outcomes and dramatically enhance their quality of life.
