Brian Witkin is an entertainment attorney who understands the law, the business, and the art of the entertainment industry because he is also a musician and producer.
Brian is the son of Joe Witkin, the original keyboard player of Sha Na Na who performed at the iconic Woodstock Festival of 1969. When Brian found his talent to be on the business side as well as a performer, he oriented to the representation of artists in a business he built, Pacific Records.
Brian quickly found the representation of artists required legal as well as business guidance - and he became a licensed attorney. His clients today range from award winning songwriters and performers to music publishers, record labels, and film companies. After nearly two decades in the industry, Brian is a GRAMMY® Voting Member of The Recording Academy.
Brian holds a JD degree from San Francisco Law School and is a member of The State Bar of California. He received an MBA and BA in History from National University. Brian now serves on the advisory board of The College of Letters and Sciences at National University, the second-largest private, non-profit institution of higher learning in California.
Beyond entertainment, Brian’s also practices in the areas of Business Organizations, Copyrights, and Real Estate. Brian has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker since 2009. He is also an avid surfer, photographer, airplane pilot, and Dive Master.
