Since 2003, Brick by Brick Uganda has created partnerships to improve education, health, and economic opportunity in Uganda’s Rakai and Kyotera Districts. The organization began as a partnership to improve the infrastructure of universal primary education schools through reconstruction and refurbishment. Over time, Brick by Brick has broadened its school program to establish libraries and set up new programs aimed at improving menstrual hygiene for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) through the My Pads Program, improving water and sanitation in schools, and providing quality maternal and newborn health services through the Babies and Mothers Alive Program.
