Bridge 47 - Building Global Citizenship

Bridge 47 was created to bring people together through value-based global learning. We stimulate discussion around Global Citizenship Education, encouraging citizens to engage with complex global challenges and to envision transformative solutions. By empowering learners of all ages to become global citizens, together we can act for a more just and sustainable world. Global Citizenship Education inspires people to do more for each other and our planet. We believe everyone can change the world. With the help of Global Citizenship Education, we can learn to do things better, to live by values that make a difference. Global Citizenship Education encourages us to critically reflect upon our assumptions, make informed decisions and demand policies that create a more fair and equal world. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development created new opportunities – and also new challenges – for all of us. For the first time in the global context, target 4.7. of Agenda 2030 recognized how important it is for learners of all ages to have the knowledge and skills needed to act for sustainable development. Bridge 47 was created to coordinate our efforts in responding to this challenge.
