About BRIDGES NSF Research Traineeship Program
Building Resources for InterDisciplinary training in Genomic and Ecosystem Sciences (BRIDGES) National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) is committed to building an inclusive and equitable training and research environment that supports a diverse cohort of participants, faculty, and partners. Ecosystem genomics brings together the tools of ecosystem and genomic sciences to understand how processes encoded for in genes scale to the ecosystem scale. By scaling from the gene to ecosystem scale we can understand how wild and agricultural systems function and respond to change. This graduate student training program allows trainees to pursue their research in a program enriched by professional training, research experiences, a certificate and minor, and mentorship opportunities. Some MS and PhD fellowships available. BRIDGES training consists of six elements: Innovative MS/PhD Curriculum, Cultures of Science Training, Team Research, Teaching/Outreach, Professional Training, and a yearly Convergence Institute.
