Bridging Faith Gaps is a 501(c)3 non-profit comprised of four elements: social justice and equality, education, care, and outreach. Originally created as a safe haven for religious trauma, Bridging Faith Gaps is a community of individuals dedicated to educating each other and the greater community about marginalized populations in society that are often overlooked and underserved for a variety of reasons including: lack of transportation, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, language barriers, and/or residency status. In addition, our mobile resource pantry allows Bridging Faith Gaps to bring basic necessities directly to those who need them most. Bridging Faith Gaps is a LGBTQIA+ affirming organization that serves all people in need regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity, age, religious affiliation (or lack thereof), or residency status.
A Message from Us:
We created Bridging Faith Gaps for anyone who has been negatively impacted by organized religion. While this includes a wide range of people, we are especially sensitive to our LGBTQIA+ community. Many churches will tell you (mistakenly) to pray the gay away, but instead, we say to bring it Bridging Faith Gaps. Bring your gay self, your queer self, your true self, your hurting self. You won’t be alone, you won’t be judged, and you will be loved exactly the way you are.
