Brigate Volontarie per l'Emergenza

BVE is a Milan-based Volunteer Organization with the ambition to make this world a better place by taking concrete actions. All our activities – material and psychological support, free food distribution, childcare, feminist organizing, international solidarity, popular education - are aimed at spreading solidarity in wider society, building supportive communities, and promoting a culture based on the values of sisterhood, ecological harmony and respect for difference. The Brigades’ experience originated in Milan in March 2020, in the heart of the Covid-19 emergency, with the goal of supporting the population in crisis. In the following months, the project developed, several new activities were set up and hundreds of volunteers joined. Today, after more than two years of organizing, we are present in a widespread and structured way in the urban environment, especially in disadvantaged neighbourhood, always close to the people in need. Here to stay, until needed. Care – Solidarity – Community!
