Bright Future Development Organisation (BFDO)

Bright future development organisation (BFDO) is a non-profit organisation that strives to end all forms of poverty through education, youth empowerment, and women’s empowerment in republic of Somaliland. With the support of a global network of volunteers, the organization is dedicated to empowering young people in the Republic of Somaliland, with a focus on both personal and community development. Bright Future Development Organisation (BFDO) is on a mission to end poverty through education, youth empowerment and women empowerment. In alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Bright Future Development supports: • SDG1 (No Poverty), • SDG3 (Good Health & wellbeing), • SDG4 (Quality Education), • SDG5 (Gender Equality), • and SDG8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Our vision Breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and social isolation in Somaliland and restoring hope for a better future. We believe that every person has the right to access resources and opportunities in order to live and develop with dignity and to become an active and contributing member to the society. Our core values are built on the belief that “If you empower women, you empower the nation, and if you empower youth, you empower the next generation.” Our Mission To provide Hargeisa society with innovative solutions, transformative and creative capacities to address the economic, social and inequalities amongst the women and youth to promote sustainable development in the Republic of Somaliland. Also to empower individuals with the necessary skills and support them to contribute to the develop of their communities.
