Brisil Technologies is a technology research company producing advanced precipitated silica & other chemicals. It has developed a new technology to use biomass waste, to produce advanced grades of precipitated silica. Brisil has set up its first commercial scale plant in Western India, in partnership with a listed tire company.
Brisil is founded by a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology BHU (IIT BHU). Brisil is funded by CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad. It is also supported by Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The technology has won various prestigious awards including India Innovation Growth Program Award by DST, Govt. of India & Lockheed Martin; Economic Times' Power of Idea Award; Global Cleantech Innovation Program Award by UNIDO; Leaders in Innovation Fellowship by Royal Academy of Engineering, UK.
Brisil's innovative technology produce highly dispersible silica and other grades of precipitated silica from rice husk ash. Every year more than 20 million tons of ash is generated globally. Disposing of the ash is a big problem. Brisil's innovative technology uses the ash to produce advanced Highly Dispersible Silica. The highly dispersible silica is an advanced grade of precipitated silica used as a filler in energy efficient green tires to improve performance of tires.
The precipitated silica has application in many industries such as Rubber products, Conveyor belts, Shoes, Toothpaste, Soaps & Detergents, Salt & Food Powders, Paints & Coatings, Pharmaceuticals etc.
