Broad-Ocean Technologies is the R & D division of Broad-Ocean Motor Company, Ltd. We are an advanced technical center focused on the development and testing of cutting-edge technology for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle e-Drive and Powertrain systems. We are located in Novi, MI. Our parent company Broad-Ocean Motor Company, Ltd. is a leading global manufacturer of motors for electric vehicles (EVs), including buses, commercial, passenger vehicles and construction equipment as well as the HVAC industry. Broad-Ocean Motor Group has 4 business units: EV; Rotating Electrical for Vehicles; HVAC; and EV Operations Platform. In addition, it holds majority and minority shares in 18 companies. Broad-Ocean Motor Group produces more than 50 million motors annually for customers on 5 continents. We have over 12,000 employees globally and sales of $1.3B USD in 2015. Through a recent acquisition we are the single largest shareholder of Ballard Power Systems of Canada. We are about to embark on a joint venture for integration of Ballard fuel cell modules with Broad-Ocean EV drive systems to provide customers with turnkey fuel cell engines.
