At Brooklyn Speech Therapy, our therapists empower young communicators through joyful learning experiences, integrating speech therapy into home life. Our approach is holistic and unconventional. We help parents to engage directly in their child’s learning and development, and offer roadmaps for additional supports when needed. Therapists working with BKST do not conduct blunt standardized assessments, or write long reports. Instead, they devote their energy to session planning, inter-professional collaboration, and parent education.
We offer in-home speech therapy rather than having families visit a clinic. Home is a child’s safe space. It’s where our team can best observe their natural routines and development and connect with their caregivers. Plus, children feel special when a visitor rings the bell, just to see them!
Brooklyn Speech Therapy was founded by speech pathologist Taylor D'Aries M.S. CCC-SLP / TSSLD who has 10+ years experience working with children and families in NYC and New Delhi, India. Taylor's unconventional approach to speech therapy involves embedding speech therapy goals into cooking, art and movement so that children have fun and build confidence while improving their communication skills. Brooklyn Speech Therapy works to establish strong community partnerships with developmental professionals to make the support we provide to our families holistic and accessible.
