Broughton Castle is a moated Manor House located ten minutes from Banbury and is the doorstep to the Cotswolds. Built in the 14th century it has played a crucial role in British history, with the English Civil War planned in the 'room that hath no ears'.
More recently the castle has hosted several film shoots, including Shakespeare In Love, Wolf Hall and Jane Eyre, among many others.
The Castle is open to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays from April until September, although private tours can be arranged.
