Brown Animation Team

Brown Animation Team (BAT) is a student organization at Brown University and RISD that brings together aspiring animators to collaboratively create original short films and 3D projects. We provide a welcoming space for students of all experience levels to learn, experiment, and grow within the full animation pipeline—from story development and concept art to animation and critique. Through weekly meetings, hands-on workshops, and semester-long team projects, BAT empowers members to build their creative and technical skills while forming a supportive community of storytellers and artists. We also host guest speakers and events that connect students with professional animators and studios beyond campus. Whether you're new to animation or looking to push your work further, BAT offers the resources and network to help you step into the industry.
