Brown Mamas

Brown Mamas exist to provide positive socialization opportunities for moms-of-color and connect them with the resources and information they need to raise happy, healthy adults. Brown Mamas exist to amplify the lived experiences and voices and expand the social capital of Black mothers. It has grown into a robust network of over 6,700 Black moms in the Pittsburgh region, who benefit from support groups, mentoring, and more. BrownMamas.com also boasts over 400 articles on mothering in color; the website and social media presence reach tens of thousands of moms monthly.
