About BRT Blood Reprogramming Technologies Lda
Blood Reprogramming Technologies (BRT) was founded in March 2017 as a spin-off from the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra in Portugal. BRT is specialized in R&D and in the use of direct cell reprogramming technologies to generate autologous blood products with clinical application for regenerative medicine. We are developing blood products focusing on hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation. We aim to serve patients by translating scientific discoveries into products for blood regeneration. Our mission is to improve patients’ health by increasing the therapeutic efficacy of currently performed treatments for blood-based diseases. At the same time we aim to reduce the incidence of adverse side effects that represent a huge economic burden for healthcare systems.
