Under the operating lease, the Customer leases railcars owned by Brunswick Rail Leasing for a period of between one and ten years on customer-specific terms. This enables customers to gain long-term guaranteed access to highly liquid rolling stock, including gondola cars, box cars, mineral hoppers, cement hoppers, universal platforms, etc. Leaseback Brunswick Rail Leasing acquires railcars owned by the Customers on market terms and gives them over to the Customer on an operating or finance leasing basis. For the Customer, this is an excellent opportunity to stabilize profits, divest non-core assets and receive free cash while retaining full control over the railcars.
