Bsense is a smart medical gadget designed with the elderly in mind. A beanie (mössa) with an embedded pulse-oximeter sensor to allow smooth wireless monitoring of both oxygen levels in the blood and heart rate. Detecting silent anomalies (e.g hypoxia) in real-time can facilitate early intervention in the efforts to save more lives among the elderly population during the covid-19 pandemic and many other infections. Unlike the bulky bedside oximeters used today and uncomfortable finger clips, Bsense will preserve the mobility of the patient being monitored and help them stay active and thus recover sooner.
