BTRoS Interiors & Cabling - Derby, an independant subsidiary of Bombardier Transportation, and based on the Litchurch Lane site like its parent has been building and supplying Bombardier’s vehicle interiors, electromechanical assemblies and wiring harnesses for many years. Now the capabilities of BTRoS are being offered to the rest of the rail and associated manufacturing industries. BTRoS is a ‘One stop shop’ build to print support company for new build, refurbishment and upgrade programmes, and with its broad capabilities in electrical assemblies, harnesses and fabrication it offers a quality solution for this and other ancillary equipment requirements. The company represents one of the best kept secrets in the ‘build to print’ arena. It has been quietly supplying the Bombardier main site with its vehicle requirements for many years, consistently meeting the quality, delivery, reliability and competitive costs that are demanded. Also by having early engagement with the design engineering teams BTRoS has been able to provide valuable input into the design for manufacture process that reduces cost and risk at source, streamlining production programmes in a measurable way.
