It all started with the Bubka Breast Pump. My wife Leish had recently returned to work after a year of navigating the highs and lows of a breastfeeding mum on parental leave, especially after dealing with our four-months-old's undiagnosed tongue tie. By now Bubka had been running out of our apartment. We were on a mission to make pumping simple for Leish - she was the test case. As Leish started to ease back into work we realised there were more variables to consider. She was still breastfeeding our son and now had to figure out how to continue and contend with other factors; unpredictable work and commuting environment for pumping, milk storage, fresh and frozen, cleaning, sterilisation - not to mention pre-planning work outfits for pumping and feeding routines. We started speaking to our customer base about these factors and realised we weren’t alone. At that moment, we knew Bubka needed to support mums getting on with their busy lives. And, we’re only getting started…
