The firm was initially founded by Werner Buckl in 1971 after a number of years with several local and regional firms. As his practice grew, the name changed several times; Werner A. Buckl Associates, WAB+A Architects, and then in 2001 Buckl Architects, PC. In 2006, four employees purchased the company from Mr. Buckl and formed Buckl Architects, Inc.
