Budownictwo I Architektura is a regional journal focused on the broadly defined aspects of civil engineering and architecture. It publishes original scientific articles concerning these areas in general as well as works addressing local problems specific to Central and Eastern Europe. It has been published since 2007 by the Lublin University of Technology, with the editorial office seated at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Initially a semi-yearly publication, it became a quarterly in 2013 following the decision of the Editorial Board and the Editorial Council. Since 2018, subsequent issues have been published in March, June, September and December.
Since its beginning, the journal has been following the Open Access policy. Access to publications and publishing in the journal are free of charge. The journal is financed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Lublin University of Technology as well as with targeted grants.
