Formally known as BU Statistics Club, BU Data Science Association is an undergraduate academic organization committed to providing students with high-quality data science tools and resources they need to make an impact in the ever-changing world of big data. By creating opportunities, expanding accessibility, and building communities, we support the growth of our members and help build an active and energetic environment for passionate data scientists. Our goals are to: • Become the gateway to the plethora of data science and statistical events happening at Boston University and in the Boston area at large • Build a framework within which people may explore their interests, while learning and practicing data science/statistics and data science/statistical tools • Connect our members with professionals at BU and experts in data science/statistics industry • Create and inform opportunities for your personal development in areas such as research, internship, communication, presentation, and group work • Bring together students of diverse backgrounds and interests to socialize, connect, network, and have fun!
