About Buffalo Rail & Infrastructure Corp

The buffalo, renowned for its strength, stands out as the sole animal that charges into the oncoming storm, confronting it directly. In doing so, it minimizes the duration of its exposure to the elements and expedites the process of overcoming adversity. Buffalo Rail & Infrastructure was established in 2023 by a team of logistics industry veterans to do just that. In 2020 the world watched as North American supply chains broke, causing disruptions never previously seen in modern history's era of globalization. The pandemic, evolving geopolitical tensions, environmental issues and modern labour laws, have resulted in significant momentum of the China Plus-One (C+1) manufacturing supply chain model and a robust industry movement toward reshoring or nearshoring of North American supply chains. As the storm of nearshoring rolls over the North American landscape, Buffalo empowers customers to embrace and adapt to major shifts in supply chain, logistics and transportation strategies through modernized infrastructure that meets the complex challenges facing industry participants in Western Canada. Our mission We develop modernized rail and rail adjacent infrastructure to more efficiently service the evolving needs of North American supply chains. What we do Located in Calgary, Alberta, Buffalo invests growth capital into brownfield and greenfield sites to develop and/or repurpose highly efficient, modern rail or rail adjacent logistics infrastructure. Our goal? Increase throughput efficiencies of customers and North American rail operators and position them to respond to increased pressures for larger, more efficient loading and unloading terminal infrastructure. Buffalo’s facilities and infrastructure are strategically focused on the needs of a region to provide improved and cost-effective service to shippers. This diversified approach will negate over reliance on one commodity or sector focusing instead on rail as the common thread that connects them all.
