Build Fund

The Build Fund’s mission is to foster economic opportunity by providing flexible, affordable, and responsible funding in underserved communities in Indianapolis. Started in 2015, the Build Fund is a loan fund operated by King Park Development Corporation, dedicated to helping businesses grow and create jobs. We are certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), which means we play a big role in generating economic growth and opportunity in Indianapolis. In fact, we are the only CDFI devoted to supporting economic development in Indianapolis. The Build Fund has 4 primary goals in mind. 1. Create growth and employment opportunities in underserved areas. 2. Bring capital investment to developing businesses. Generate economic and community development. 3. Assist businesses in becoming bankable with traditional financial institutions. 4. Bringing these goals to fruition will ultimately serve our purpose of connecting businesses to flexible, affordable, and responsible funding. As loans are repaid by borrowers, the funds are used to capitalize new loans, creating a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF). And as a CDFI organization, we anticipate lending to grow dramatically over the next several years. Our partnership with Bingham Greenbaum Doll allows us to expedite the process. BGD aids in structuring loans to best suit the borrower’s needs while communicating with all parties involved — specifically, other lending institutions and attornies.
