Building Bridges is a non-profit organization that provides free English classes to children in China taught by Americans fluent in English on a weekly basis. Volunteers gain valuable experience working with younger children while having the opportunity to help others in need. In the course of a year, our organization has expanded teaching to Korea, taught over 160 classes, formed 4 high school chapters, held 3 fundraisers, and has 85 volunteers.
In July, Building Bridges attended YEFA's IHSSIC where we gave a presentation about our organization, competing with 20 other student-led nonprofits. With an audience of 200+ people, Building Bridges received the most votes in the impact category across all teams at the conference, receiving a $500 grant.
