BULK Space

BULK Space is a non-profit arts organization based in Detroit, committed to fostering equity, experimentation, and collective care through artist-led cultural work. Founded in 2017, BULK supports Detroit’s creative communities through exhibitions, residencies, a Media Lab, publications, and public programming. BULK is a space for artists and cultural workers to gather, experiment, and build power together. Our programs center accessibility, interdisciplinary exchange, and mutual support—creating space for those historically excluded from institutional arts ecosystems. We partner with artists, organizers, and local organizations to produce work that is responsive, critical, and rooted in place. We believe in the transformative potential of the arts to reimagine structures and shape more just futures.
