Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) will deliver significant benefits to the region, including time saving, road safety, freight efficiency and improved port access.
A significant portion of funding from the project's $1.25 billion is being spent in within the region, creating further local jobs, business opportunities and supporting local economic growth.
Project Overview
Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) will be a 27-kilometre high-standard rural highway with a median separated dual carriageway. BORR will reduce local congestion and increase efficiency for freight vehicles and regional traffic while improving long-term access to the Bunbury Port. The project will support social and economic growth and development, enhance amenity on local roads by reducing freight and regional traffic on them, and create a safer road system for our community in Greater Bunbury and the wider South West region. The project is due to be completed in late 2024.
The South West Gateway Alliance (SWGA) is managing works on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) on behalf of Main Roads.
