Burleigh Chilli Co. came to life through two mates living the Gold Coast life, enjoying the sun, surf, and community vibes of Burleigh. As they sat at their local brewery having a yarn over a few pale ales, co-founders Justin and Sean knew they wanted to start a business together. They began to brainstorm ideas, and began work on a few that eventually fizzled out. During this time they found a passion for getting in the kitchen and experimenting with their favourite chillies, but never thought it could turn into anything more than that. After surprising their friends at a dinner party with an experimental hot sauce, they knew they were onto a winning formula, and Burleigh Chilli Co. was born. The name Burleigh Chilli Co. came about through their love of the Burleigh lifestyle, and they knew they wanted to bring that sense of community into the flavours and branding of the product. Each of our core range of sauces are modelled after some common waves you’ll see around the Burleigh headland. We start off with the Ankle Biter which provides the most mild of kicks, then comes the Point Break stepping up the heat, and finally the Cyclone Swell for the more adventurous chilli lover. None of our sauces are designed to blow your head off - we are all about adding flavour and fun to your meal, without destroying your taste buds like some other sauces only meant for chilli eating competitions.
