Burniture

We are Burniture, a creative collective with a mission to take on the fast-furniture industry. We rescue old scraps of furniture from skips, the street, and donations. We take them to our studio. We repurpose them through a process of creative reconstruction. And we find them a new home so their story can continue. Each piece comes with an adoption booklet about where we found it and how it was rescued and repurposed, as well as a packet of seeds for a plant to match your purchase. We collaborate with other sustainable artists and run community crafternoons and exhibitions. Welcome to the collective where we don’t just criticise the problem but create and celebrate a solution, because our lives don’t need more things…things need to be given more lives. We were the winners of the New Designers Sustainable Design Award 2023 (sponsored by Decorex) Together we can build the Fu(rni)ture.
