Founded in 2007, the Business for Peace Foundation is an independent nonprofit organisation dedicated to inspiring and recognising business leaders who champion sustainable and ethical practices that foster peace, prosperity, and positive societal change.
We bridge the gap between business, government, and civil society, promoting collaboration to address global challenges such as decent work, inclusion, and equality. Through our flagship initiative, the Oslo Business for Peace Award, we honour business leaders who exemplify the principles of being businessworthy—creating net positive societal value through ethical and sustainable business practices. The Award nominees are selected via a global process in partnership with the ICC, UNDP, UNGC, and PRI and judged by an independent committee of Nobel Laureates.
Our annual Business for Peace Summit brings together global leaders to explore actionable solutions for pressing challenges. Additionally, the newly established Business for Peace Institute fosters academic collaboration and innovation on the role of business in building peace.
