Meet the Business Women Network (BWN)! 👋 🚀 We are an employee-led group established by volunteers from Unit4, a Dutch software development company. As a group born out of the technology-focused STEM industry, BWN was motivated by the pressing need to address the significant gender gap prevalent in the field of software development. Back in 2017, fueled by a shared passion for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), the visionary members of BWN decided to join forces and make a difference. 🎯With a mission to bridge the gender divide in software development and other STEM industries, we have been working towards creating a more inclusive and balanced work environment. We firmly believe that diverse perspectives lead to an innovative environment and drive overall growth (of people and companies), and that's why we strive to ensure equal opportunities for everyone. 🎯BWN focuses on both internal and external initiatives to achieve our goals. Within Unit4, we have launched a variety of programs and activities to foster inclusivity, support career growth for women, and empower underrepresented groups. Among our successful internal initiatives are the creation of a DEI library and book club, workshops, and networking events that provide a supportive community for women within the company. Additionally, we sponsor external events aimed at encouraging more women to venture into STEM fields. 🎯The Business Women Network warmly welcomes collaboration and support from like-minded individuals and organizations.
