Development Authority of Butts County

The purpose of the Authority, is to “. . . promote and expand for the public good and welfare, industry and trade within Butts County and reduce unemployment to the greatest extent possible. . . .” The Development Authority is a seven member board, appointed by the Butts County Board of Commissioners, who serve to market the county to industries looking to locate within Butts County. Butts County is home to more than 23,000 residents and a variety of business opportunities. Centrally located between Atlanta and Macon, Butts County is an ideal location to do business.
