Do you have a passion for STEM & kids? Retail STEM (coding and robotics) is filling a vital public education gap, teaches responsible tech use and internet safety, and is as important as sports, and likely less expensive. We believed an after-school program for kids ages 7-17 that helps kids unlock their inner genius through coding and robotics, dreaming creativity and learning problem-solving skills, was an important community service. We sponsored a First Lego League team, and we provided an alternative activity for those kids who may be tech savvy but not know what to do about it outside of the school building, perhaps waiting on a program they aren't yet old enough for or that their district doesn't yet provide. We believe that learning to code is the easiest way to shape a child’s future. Our students develop programming skills along with invaluable approaches to critical thinking and problem solving. Operating one Oklahoma's 4 retail STEM locations in Owasso, was Byte Builders, LLC, DeEtta and Troy Bumgardner. Troy is an IT professional focused on geographic information systems (GIS) and DeEtta is a Marine Corps Veteran who will serve as the Center Director after a 20+ year successful career in transportation and logistics.
