Merak Eden Çocuk (MEÇ) Schools, operating under the umbrella of the Boğaziçi University Alumni Association (BÜMED), stands out with its unique perspective in the world of education. Nourished by the rich cultural and scientific heritage of Boğaziçi University, MEÇ Schools were established with the aim of creating an educational approach that would be considered a reference in Turkey. Currently serving with branches in Arnavutköy, Moda, Bahçeköy and Koşuyolu, BÜMED MEÇ Schools aim to educate individuals who are curious, find joy in learning, think independently, have self-confidence, look positively at life, and consider themselves global thinkers. BÜMED MEÇ Schools have a comprehensive education program that takes into account the individual differences of students, enriched with various branches and club courses. This program offers students a multifaceted development opportunity. In our school, an inquiry-based and research-oriented education program developed by experts from Boğaziçi University is implemented. This program allows students to develop problem-solving skills in small groups. Through this program, where children have the opportunity to play games extensively, they learn to empathize and move beyond words to practice values. BÜMED MEÇ Schools have a 'Curious Child Hour' specific to the school, where children are supported to research topics of their curiosity with their families and then present them to their peers. In BÜMED MEÇ Schools, English education is presented in a fun and educational way in daily life, with a rich curriculum that complements both the mother tongue and foreign language programs. The English program clearly defines learning outcomes for each age group and is designed to be purposeful, while also encouraging the social use of language. In the language learning process, lessons and activities that ensure parallel progress in development and learning goals play a significant role in the academic approach of BÜMED MEÇ Schools.
