C.A. Spencer inc. is a leading Canadian producer and global supplier of North American hardwood lumber. Founded in 1908, the company still bears the name of its founder; Charles Alexander Spencer. C.A. Spencer produces and distributes a wide range of hardwood species sourced from their own sawmills located in eastern Canada. Specialty items include Hard Maple, Yellow Birch, Soft Maple and Northern Red Oak. Other species include Ash, Aspen, Basswood, Cherry and White Birch. All products vary from 4/4 (1’’) to 8/4 (2’’) thickness and are selectively graded using NHLA standard grading rules. Today, the Spencer group is proud to be entirely family owned all while operating their own sawmills, kilns, concentration yard, industrial division, and forestry department allowing the establishment to stand by quality & sustainability through all practices.
